We’re Gas Safe Registered!
Gas Safe is the official list of gas engineers who are registered to work safely and legally on boilers, cookers, fires and all other gas appliances.
By law all gas engineers must be on the Gas Safe Register. Trust the Triangle.
Gas Safe Register replaced CORGI as the gas registration body in 2009.
What does this mean?
The main focus of the Register is on improving and maintaining gas safety to the highest standards. They make sure all gas engineers on the Register, over 120,000, are qualified to work with gas.
They work to protect the public from unsafe gas work through:
A national investigations team tracking down illegal gas workers
Regular inspections of Gas Safe registered engineers
Educating consumers and raising awareness of gas safety
Investigating reports of unsafe gas work
Checking A Business
Gas Safe registered businesses will often display their registration number along with their company name on their company vehicle or business stationery. You can check either of these details by clicking here.
Checking An Engineer
If an engineer is visiting your home you should always check they’re registered and qualified for the work you need doing. Check this by looking at their ID card and using the check function here.
